using dropbox in Thunderbird

I have been using dropbox for the attaching files to the outgoing messages. Suddenly, this service stopped to work and it is not possible to select an online storage service for dropbox: despite that dropbox works well on my computers, after clicking on "Set up Account" it will gives the message: "An error occurred while setting up the account!" Can some tell me how to set up the functioning of the dropbox again? Thanks.

Are you asking about setting up a Dropbox account, an email account in Thunderbird, or something else. In any case, this is not the forum for support on those matters and you must register on the forums to post in the appropriate locations. The MozillaZine Site Discussions section if used for issues relating to the forums themselves, not about Mozilla programs.

The add-on to add support for using Dropbox as a filelink - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunde ... -filelink/ - has stopped working due to Dropbox shutting down its v1 API. The add-on author didn't update it to support v2 of the API, and decided to stop maintaining the add-on.

Next time please register for a forum account and ask the question in the Thunderbird Support forum. You have a better chance of getting a useful answer that way, and it makes it easier for anybody with a similar problem to find the thread.
