Hi - I have Thunderbird set up on my Linux system. I can create an Email from the command line with the command

/usr/bin/thunderbird -compose "to='<someone@domain.com',subject='fmysubj',body='mybody'"

But rather than send the Email - it opens a window interactively. I want to use this to send me an Email when a background job completes. Is there some way from the command line to tell it to actually SEND the Email?

thanks!
/j

answer: TB deliberately doesn't do this to discourage scammers. However, with a little web research, not hard to get ssmtp to work. never mind
