Thunderbird 52.4.0 converts all images to png files which are massive. We always could insert, paste, and drag jpg files into an email. Now it seems to convert everything to png files. This is unacceptable!
How can I email jpg images as jpg images.

That's weird.
I've just tried it on TB 52.4.0 (32-bit) and both the inserted and attached images stayed as JPG.
What exactly did you do?

I sent myseld an email, attached a jpg, came through as a jpg. I sent another email, I dragged the image in from the first email, it arrived as a png. My test results will not duplicate. So I need to do more research.
