I have been using ssh X11 Forwarding on Thunderbird for a day or two and it is very slow. Other programs (Qcad, Gnucash etc) all seem to run just fine. I have found several threads around the web on this, but no one seems to have a solution.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Re: X11 Forwarding (Linux)
Is this done locally or over a network to another PC?
Are you connecting to a virtual machine?
Is just the user interface slow, just network activity (fetch new mail etc.) slow, or is everything slow?
More details about your configuration would help. You could start by explaining why you are doing this. That might explain something about your configuration.
Do you have a similar problem with Firefox?
