Bouncing back spam

Post by TRAINSGWR »

While I can use Filters to dump unwanted spam incoming e-mails direct into trash, is it possible to bounce those e-mails back to the send automatically.

The sender knows that my e-mail address is legit as it did not bounce to them as not connected.

The problem with bouncing a message from the email client is its not possible to fully duplicate the mail server bouncing the message as being non-deliverable etc. no matter what fans of mailwasher etc claim. Its not just a question of returning the correct results, its also a timing issue. Frequently when people try to do that they bounce it to a spoofed From: email address, so they make the problem even worse, as now they are sending spam to a innocent person.. Please don't try to bounce spam.

A FWIW...
All the people that frequent the MW Pro fora & ask that same question, always get told the same thing that tanstaafl mentioned.

Bouncing does not work & may get you banned by your server for spamming.

I use MW Pro but do NOT bounce any email.
Utter waste of time.

Merry Christmas.
