Suddenly, when I try to write a new email or reply to one, I get the following: "Write: "subject" at the top of the email with no "Send" box to use to send the email.
The address is in place; no "Send" box.

Moving to Thunderbird Support as no bug has yet been identified here.
The "Send" button will be disabled until an email address has been entered into the "To:" field.
