I seem to remember downloading an older version of Thunderbird that had an import feature so I could import email from Outlook for use in Thunderbird. What version was that, and where do I download it from again? Tomorrow, I'm going to help a friend move all his email from Windows Live Mail 2012 to Thunderbird. Thanks. Also, please share with me the link to make a donation to Thunderbird. Thanks again.

Re: Using an Old Version of Thunderbird For Import
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_.pst_files has a link to a old version that you can use for that. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_and ... ail_server for an alternative using a IMAP account as an intermediary if you run into problems. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_and ... c_programs also has a section on how to migrate contacts from Windows Live Mail.
There is a donate button in the upper right corner of https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/ that will take you to a web page to make donations. The credit card/paypal buttons are most prominent on the donate page but in the middle it also has some links to instructions for other ways of paying such as writing a check.
