Need to switch Thunderbird and all emails to new logical drv

Post by Nisko555 »

I have one physical drive on which I have two logical drives. One is my C drive where all my apps reside. However, the OS has problems so I set up a clean install on the other logical drive (Drive F). Now, I would like to move my apps to the clean install (Drive F) one by one. The first one is Gmail (Thunderbird) on which I have several accounts. I'd also like to move all my mail (current and archived) to the Drive F. I need instructions on how to do this. Can anyone help?

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_p ... hunderbird for how to move your profile to another location. You could also uninstall Thunderbird, download the setup program again, and then re-install it on drive F: (use custom setup). Uninstalling doesn't delete your profile (I don't remember if there is a optional checkbox to delete your data, if there is, just don't check it when uninstalling).
