Tried Search, responses not sorted by age... Gave up after several pages...

Today - new behavior of Thunderbird client: bypass process for a SSL mismatch won't accept the click/request for bypass. Siteground, my hoist, has a fix (specific string for server address), but I can't enter it as the alert returns immediately. The instantaneous return of the alert dialog is *new* and makes it impossible to use any of the accounts in my profile, including G-Mail. It's in a Hotel California loop I cannot leave!

Please tell me I don't have to start a whole new profile... I just did that for what a believe is unrelated issue: I was saving too many e-mails. I saved the old profile with a different extension, re-started the profile and removed everything older than a year and a half.

Doesn't *seem* related.

This is TB most recent version.. can't get that info because this loop has hijacked the program.

You are getting SSL certificates errors with one of your accounts and the popup won't let you add a security exception (to make it ignore the error) or close the popup?

Try starting Thunderbird in offline mode using a -offline command line argument. That should let you modify the server in the accounts settings etc. You could temporarily edit the "target" edit field in the properties of the Thunderbird shortcut to do that. ... ne_Options
