Running Thunderbird 52.7.0 (64 bit) on Linux machine with Lightning 5.4.7.
I am trying to follow instructions in the support pages and they frequently refer to a cogwheel, I assume for settings.
There is no sign of a cogwheel anywhere and neither do any wizards referred to pop up.
Can somebody help me please?

What is the specific text that refers to "a cogwheel"?

Hi Dan and thanks for the reply.DanRaisch wrote:What is the specific text that refers to "a cogwheel"?
This is a link to one page that refers to the cogwheel using a picture:-
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/us ... e-calendar
In fact those were the instructions I was trying to follow. There have been others which referred to "cogwheel" but I have closed the tabs.

And have you drilled down to the extensions page under menu path Edit → Preferences->Addons->Extensions? (Or perhaps it's just Edit →Addons->Extensions. I don't have a Linux system to check.)

Sadly I do not know how to open menu and keep it open while taking screen shot.
Will get back to you.

In case someone else finds that problem, what did you find to be the solution?

Hi Dan, willingly and sorry I didnt do it before.DanRaisch wrote:In case someone else finds that problem, what did you find to be the solution?
Right click and select "save link as"
I had forgotten that this is same as "save as." The word link confused me but somebody put me right.
Once selected you can select where to save and the file is saved. It can then be selected by the application for installation.
