Folder greyed out and in italics, subfolder not!

I have an IMAP email box and created a new folder, with a subfolder. I have now logged on to Thunderbird on another computer to find the main folder greyed out and in italics and I can't access the emails it contains. The subfolder is in bold and I can access the emails in there.

I've checked with webmail online and the emails in the main folder are there.

This occurred once before and I ended up having to download the emails manually and recreate the folder, which was a pain.

Anyone got any idea how I can solve this?
