Why does TBird take so long? I must have something set wrong or extensions. Here are my settings:

Take so long doing what?
Whatever the issue, does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

I'm not going to go thru all those extension but Google Calendar Tab caught my eye..

Per the AMO page that extension stopped at version TB 31. So, if the OP chose to install it (and many other non-compatible extensions) ... I can see where that would mess up TB... totally.

Safe Mode, if the suggestion to use it is followed, would confirm whether the issue is related to an extension or not.
