problems

problems

I am now on 52. 8.0 32bit version and nothing is working right
I go to compose write my email and there is nothing that will allow me send,save or do anything as as there is NO TOOLBAR visible
I deleted all add-ons etc
I go to safe mode and no problems

So if you run Thunderbird in Safe Mode the toolbars are there?
Have you disabled hardware acceleration? Press Alt+T to launch the Tools menu, then Options->Advanced->General->make sure that "Use hardware acceleration when available" is NOT checked.
Close and restart Thunderbird in standard mode to see if the toolbars are visible.

from what I can see Use hardware acceleration was not checked
and now the only time I don't have toolbar is when using "compose"

In the compose window, do you have a menu bar? If so, use menu path View->Toolbars->Composition Toolbar.
If not, press Alt+V to display the View menu then proceed as above.

had a problem getting my pointer to stay on view>toolbar to click on anything but finally got it and all seems to be working now
