How add photo to my signature

Post by Nisko555 »

I'd like to add a photo (JPG) to my signature (which is already in HTML). Could someone please tell me how to do it? Thank you.....

Hi,
Here's the "low down" on Signatures for you.
You may find that you have to install the "Quote & Compose Manager" extension to add an image if an error occurs. (Not sure.)

This works, but there is also an easier technique that works equally well. Basically create a message, include the picture(s) you want, save the message as html and use it as a signature.

Thank you - but I'm confused about (with both replies) is that the instructions seem to say to save the image in the BODY of the message. Please tell me what I'm missing.

If I take the second one, the trick is more or less that you compose your signature as a new message. In essence, the signature text and photo are the body of a new message that you save as HTML. So yes, when you write them, they are the body of a message you could email to someone. But you don't send it, you save it as, say, "signature.html", and store it in a safe place.

It's at steps 8 and 9 of the procedure that you actually tell Thunderbird to use "signature.html" as an email signature.
