Hi,
I'd appreciate help.
I set Thunderbird date display format in the config editor as instructed here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Date_display_format
Snapshot of my TB conf editor: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aicp80bKqtj90zhGfgdmQYky4AB9
I was expecting TB column "date" same as my Windows OS short date format, which is dd/mm/yyyy, as shown in this snapshot:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aicp80bKqtj90zcDrexLMlOu0Zvn
However, TB forces date format as mm/dd/yyyy, ignoring my settings.
How can I force TB to comply with the date format of my OS (dd/mm/yyyy)?
Ps.: I already tried the addon ConfigDate (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/th ... onfigdate/) without success.
Thanks for the assistance,
Carlos
I set TB 60 to use OS date format, but it doesn't work

Re: I set TB 60 to use OS date format, but it doesn't work
I'm using the 32-bit version of Thunderbird version 60.0 under Windows 10 Home. I installed the ConfigDate version 0.8 add-on and configured it to use "no date" for today's messages and the long version (saturday, september 8, 2018) for everything else. After restarting it works as expected. The only other add-ons I have installed are CompactHeader 2.1.6, Lightning 6.2, CustomizeMyBird 2.4.1 and Header Tools Lite 0.6.2. I'm using a lightweight theme (it just effects the toolbar/menu area).
I also tried the weekday format (Sat, 10:38 PM). That took three restarts before it took.
I have mail.ui.display.dateformat.thisweek and mail.ui.display.dateformat.default set to 4. mail.ui.display.dateformat.today uses the default value (it's not listed in the config editor). That seems to match the weekday format of the add-on.
I suggest you re-try the ConfigDate add-on and restart Thunderbird a couple of times. I'd also experiment with disabling most other add-ons in case two of them interact.
