TB 60.3.1 (32 bits) Creates a bug on its own
I created a list (my_list), but When I try to put 'my_list' in the 'For' window, TB adds '<my_list>' the the list name giving 'my_list <my_list>' and then complains that this is not in the correct format!

Moving to Thunderbird Support.
Try removing the underscore in that list name. Also see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mailing_lists to ensure that the list was properly set up.

The underscore is just for the illustration.
I had this problem with a list which worked in earlier versions (for a number of years, in fact), and which fails with this version.
Last time I used this mechanism successfully was on November 23 2018 17h12 CET.

If the list name includes a space or other non-alphanumeric character it may be a problem. That's why I suggested removing the underscore. The same would apply to a space or other character that is not a letter or number. The underscore is just for the illustration.

This makes no difference. 'ABC' is immediately transformed into 'ABC <ABC>' when selected as destination. Just try it.

I have multiple mailing lists and use them regularly without issues. That (the <listname> repeat) just the way Thunderbird displays the list name in the "To" field. Have you tried creating another list containing just your own address and sending to that list to see if the error message is displayed?
