Need help to adapt uc.js script from Firefox to Thunderbird

Hello,
I want to use the script UserCSSLoader, which is written for Firefox, in Thunderbird. It makes it easy to load and administrate CSS styles instead of editing the userchrome.css and usercontent.css. The styles must be in the folder /[profile]/chrome/CSS.

There was not much to change, but I cannot get it to load the CSS styles automatically at startup and to write the list of disabled styles into prefs. To test I set the UserCSSLoader.disabled_list pref manually in about:config. It works to manually load the CSS styles and the UserCSSLoader.disabled_list from prefs is correctly processed. Activating and deactivating CSS styles also works, but the script does not update the UserCSSLoader.disabled_list. In short: It (not automatically) reads the UserCSSLoader.disabled_list but does not write it.

Creating a new style with the editor set in view_source.editor.path and editing userchrome.css and usercontent.css work perfect. But with a right click on the CSS styles only the context menu opens, not the editor.

I am not a programmer, I just found some fixes by trial and error.

Da der CSS-Ordner im Chrome-Ordner erstellt wurde, CSS-Dateien dort ablegen - speichern.

I'm not going to try to suggest any fixes. However, I suggest you first try to get it working with a version of Firefox that has the same major version number as Thunderbird. Then try to get it working with Thunderbird. Since there was no production version of 57 for Thunderbird, you might need to do that for version 60.

Thank you for your answer. The script in the original form works with Firefox 60 - 63 (probably also earlier). I only changed the toolbar id and getCharPref and setCharPref to getStringPref and setStringPref. But it works equally with the old function name.
