I just upgraded to Thunderbird 60.4.0 and it is almost unusable due to really tiny fonts. I seem to recall some convoluted procedure for fixing fonts, but I don't remember how. Can somebody please help?
Addition: I just noticed I have a disabled add-on called "Theme Font & Size Changer (no expire)". So I guess what I need is a replacement for that.

From http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bad_Eyesight_-_Thunderbird
https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... ed/?src=ss is the appropriate replacement for that add-on
You can change the font/font size in messages by using Tools -> Options -> Display -> Fonts -> Advanced, set the "minimum font size" and consider also unchecking "allow messages to use other fonts". If you don't want to change the font size you can set View -> Message Body As > Simple HTML, which removes some display formatting within the message such as font sizes and colors. It may not look as nice, but you can read the small print again.

Thanks. So how do I open the xpi file? I don't see any way to do that in Thunderbird and Firefox says it is "not verified".

Ah. I found it. Well hidden. I can now use Thunderbird without severe eye strain. Thanks.
