Back to square one..
I've had thunderbird since day one and all, for the moment, is working well, except for the elusive Gmail.
After the last few updates, Gmail won't function on TBird.
I have Gmail on my phones-Gmail direct-gmail on my Blue mail, etc.
Only on Tbird does it refuse to work anymore
In my trek, it appears I may have signed up for Oath, which I don't want or need, but I've tried everything I could find to get rid of it and use a regular password..no luck.
I even tried some funky email clients and it worked on all of them with my normal password.
Why should it work everywhere but TBird with a normal password?
thanks

Re: Gmail-TBbird again
You probably need to specify Thunderbird as a authorized client for "less secure apps" using a browser .

Re: Gmail-TBbird again
I already did that and Thunderbird is listed as one of the less secure apps.

What is the full text of the error message?
Can you send mail using that account?
I assume its a IMAP account because you had been using OAuth2.
Do you have two step verification enabled? That would require you to use a application specific password rather than the gmail password.
