Position of Notification PopUp-Window
60.4.0 Thunderbird and the New E-Mail PopUp-Notification Window is always shown too low. The PopUp always is being covered by TaskBar(Windows). Is there a way to change the position of the Notification Pop-Up-Window? Please keep in mind version 60 and above --> absolutely no AddOns anymore working.

Re: Position of Notification PopUp-Window
See if you can drag and drop the popup to a better location before it disappears. Perhaps it will remember and reuse that position. For Thunderbird, don't maximize it and drag and drop it to a higher position, and then drag the edges to make it wider and taller. It should remember the new positions (it does when I try it).
Do you have a similar problem with notifications for other applications? If so, see https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/ch ... ws-10.html . I don't know if Thunderbird is using the systems setting for the location. If it is, those instructions change it to the top right of the screen. Perhaps that would workaround the problem.
If none of this helps, you might experiment with setting the desktop to a higher resolution, if that's possible. You can also use the taskbar portion of Window's "settings" program to automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode.

Re: Position of Notification PopUp-Window
3840x2160 is the native Resolution of this monitor. Playing around with Resolution, not a good idea I think. It always looks crappy then.
Notification window drag+drop not possible! Not possible also to grab the edges to make it wider or taller.
Top right position? How? If no drag+drop possible? Any about:config changes possible?

Re: Position of Notification PopUp-Window
https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/ch ... ws-10.html is based on editing a windows registry key.
You could try deleting xulstore.json (stores the toolbar , window layout and size/position settings) and session.json (snapshot of the windows layout) per http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_or_wi ... ot_working . You would have to re-add any toolbar customization you made afterwards as when you restart Thunderbird replacement files are created using default values.
I don't know of any related about:config settings.

Re: Position of Notification PopUp-Window
You would need to create an extension to move the new mail alert notification window to a better position.
Reference
http://dxr.mozilla.org/comm-esr60/sourc ... ration.cpp
http://dxr.mozilla.org/comm-esr60/sourc ... lalert.xul
http://dxr.mozilla.org/comm-esr60/sourc ... ilalert.js
It isn't possible for me to move the window with the mouse.
Alternative...
Mailbox Alert
http://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbi ... box-alert/
http://tjeb.nl/Projects/Mailbox_Alert/
The ATN link isn't working at the moment.
