Iv'e lost my Spam folder.
I'm used to receiving a couple of dozen Spam messages a day from scum who have nothing better to do than send out rubbish and I normally just click onto the top one and delete the lot but all I see now when I check Spam is a number "6" which was the number of spam messages I last deleted. I can't believe that I have been blessed by all spam senders going on holiday so would someone care suggesting what has happened. Many thanks.

Please be a bit clearer in your report. Is the folder there but contains no recent messages, or is the entire folder where those messages previously appeared no longer there?
How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.
