Can't remove unwanted spacing on Menu Bar?

Post by Flycaster »

Been doing a bit of tweaking on TB 60.5.0. Now, when I try to reposition the file menu items by removing the spaces I had put in via Customization, the window reduces in size and moves (drags) with the cursor. The spaces won't come off the menu bar and the whole window moves about with the cursor. Can't understand what's happening and how to fix??? Thanks.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

I'm used to editing the main toolbar, but can't figure out how to edit the menu bar using the built-in feature. How are you doing that - the Menu Wizard add-on at https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... rd/?src=ss ?

Have you thought of adding a spacer before removing the space?

Yes. I put TB into Safe Mode and added a few spaces while in Customize. I then, while in Customize, I tried to remove the spaces by having my cursor's pointer on a space and while trying to drag to space off, the whole window was dragged with the cursor, but the space stayed on at the top of the window???

No, but I just now did try, not only added a space but also separator. Interestingly, I could remove the separator, but not the space. Also, I could remove spaces abd separators on the toolbar???

Not sure what you are asking for--"...edit menu bar..." The only thing I did on the menu bar was to add spaces...that won't come off the bar. Also, although I do have the Menu Wizard loaded on, I don't know how to use it; would appreciate where a tutorial might be found.
