NOT PREVIEW FROM AUTOMATIC MAILS FROM OS

Post by alb.gsm »

Hello everyone.

I have a program to create invoices and from that program I can press a button to send an email with the invoice attached as a pdf. The normal behaviour was opening an blank e-mail of Thunderbird with the invoice attached and the destination address written. So I could check that everything was right and I could include some text of my own.

With the last update of Thunderbird (now i have 60.5.2) when I do this, it sends the email just with out showing anything to me. It doesn't show me the preview, and I really need to add some text always in my emails with the invoices.

I just realised that if you use right button of the mouse on any document (in a folder of windows) and select the option of "SEND TO"-->"Mail Destination" it does not open Thunder bird. It did it before.

Thank you very much!!!!

That suggests that you need to set the default "Mailto" application under Windows 10: https://www.google.com/search?client=fi ... efault+app

As for that invoice creation program, you'll have to check with them for support to see why it is now sending the messages rather than displaying them for further editing.

This function was broken in TB 60.5.2, and there is an active bug report:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1530820

You can downgrade to 60.5.1 if you wish - the profile folder with all data is not affected.
