Hello,
After a re-unstallation of Manjaro Linux, my respondents complain taht they receive emails witg ??? instead of Cyrillic. I have not done anything different from previous settings in Thunderbird.
The outbox displays the chacters corrrectly, though.

Edit > Preferences > Display > Afvanced > both outfoing and incoming mail set to UTF 8 (so far) resolved the issue.

The problem is not solved. The above solution worked for a while and then suddenly, without any interference on my part, the recipients again receive ???
I have tried it on Linux Mint. Ubuntu, Windows 8.1 with a past version on the latest, Seamonkey - to no avail. This eliminates my mistakes, I think.
