Creating folders

Post by Oyle »

Hello, apparently one cannot create folders for messages only anymore in TB 69, or am I mistaken?

I'm totally lost on what you mean.

You can't create new folders under the email account, sub folders under the Inbox, or do you mean newsgroup folders?

I wanted to create an email subfolder under an other main folder, a folder for messages, not one which would allow other folders to be created.
Prior to Ver 68, this was no problem in Thunderbird, in an IMAP account.
Now I had to create the folder in the webmail interface of the account.

I hope this is clearer?

Did you UNcheck "server supports folders that contains sub-folders and messages" in tools -> account settings -> account_name -> server settings -> advanced ?

Are you trying to do this due to the limitation of the mail server or because you want to impose that restriction for your own purposes?

What email provider are you using?

Yes, I have now, but after installing TB 68, the setting was off. All good now, thanks
