Add Ons Now Disabled in 68.1
Is there a way to get them back...or revert to 68.0?

Re: Add Ons Now Disabled in 68.1
I have an older extension called Habul that I use for mass-reporting of spam to Spamcop. It's a very simple plugin -- the author has abandoned it, so I just updated the MaxVersion tag in the RDF file to 69.* and it's worked fine. Now, with the current release of Thunderbird, it won't work (disabled). This caught me off guard and I really need this functionality -- as it appears there are no other useful solutions that accomplish the same thing out there.
I tried downgrading, but the update to Thunderbird modified my profile so that it's not backward-compatible (according to the installer).
What to do?

I lost several extensions with the upgrade(???). To go back to 60.9 I had to download the installer
for 60.9 and then disconnect from the internet before installing. The upgrade to 68 changed my
setting from update manually and I couldn't stop TBird from updating to 68.
Disconnect from the internet, run the installer, start TBird, change the updating preference in 'OPTIONS"
to never update, re enable the extensions, reboot, connect to the internet.
I installed on top of the newer version.
At least that worked for me.

This is really a bummer. I have to stick my head 3 inches from the screen to read the fonts! Is there a link to 60.9?

I downgraded to 60.9.0, where I will remain until this problem is addressed. Plus, it's much more readable.

Re: Add Ons Now Disabled in 68.1
I am sticking with 60.9 until extensions I need are available in 68+. So I haven't personally seen 68+ in action. I'm curious as to what specifically you mean by 68+ not being as readable as 60.9. Could you elaborate?forrie wrote:I downgraded to 60.9.0, where I will remain until this problem is addressed. Plus, it's much more readable.

Sorry, I was referring to their choice of default font -- terrible. I'm on a Mac, tho, so maybe the font got interpreted differently, but it was more monospace. Drove me nuts.
