I don't understand why font-size is not integrated into the program? If you can't read your messages...what good are they?

What makes you say that font-size is not integrated into the program?

A bit beyond the layman. Why not make it easily accessible on a tab in options. (I'm talking about the message pane etc. Not the font used in composing.

Well, change it then.

Most odd, do these people ever look at Options?

A bit beyond you is not the same as beyond ' the layman', as most manage it OK.

To change message pane font size see Tools>Options>Display>Formatting>Advanced - uncheck the 2 Font Control boxes and set a huge minimum font size and you're done.

Well go try it again until it does. It does work.

I have code snippets that can change the font sizes in both the UI or even the content (email text, etc) if needed. But there's no point doing the content one when the existing T/Bird Options for that already work OK and they do.

Did you also make the changes with Fonts for: Other Writing Systems?

Try making the changes to the additional location noted by sfhowes.

There are also key commands to change email text size:

Ctrl + (to make larger)
Ctrl - (to make smaller)
Ctrl 0 (to go back to your normal setting)

Would you mind posting the UI code snippets you reference?

Code: Select all

/*Franks Global UI font.....*/
   * { font-size: 20px !important;  }
Usually this goes below the namespace line in userChrome.css, but it can also be pasted above the namespace line as well, if you find it's not hitting all that you want.

Sorry for my lack of prowess here but if someone could just let us know when the "Theme Size Changer" is updated to 68.1 I'm sure many would appreciate it.

Thanks :D :D :D

Doesn't look that is going to happen if you click the link to the Theme Font & Size Changer (fixed) Version 64.6 support site from the extensions page.
