I was notified of the changes to AT&T email last year but did not change any settings. Thunderbird POP and SMTP access only stopped working this week and I set up a Secure Mail Key to resolve the problem. I did try OAuth2 but received a message from the server that it was not supported. I'm using Windows 10 Home and Thunderbird 78.5.
My sbcglobal email servers are pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com.
At present I am comfortable with the Secure Mail Key as most of my email has now moved to another provider.
