profiles corrupted
TB will not install due to missing profile

Is this an initial installation, an update, a relocation to a new computer? With more information we might be able to offer some help here.

This is a migration from Windows 7 old computer to new W-10.
The initial transfer of the old profile to the new computer did not succeed.
I found the new profile, but could not set it as default.
Then (dumb) I deleted the not new profile (if that makes sense).
Turned TB off/on. Message saying TB could not find profile.
I uninstalled TB and reinstalled. Thinking some sort of profile would appear. Nope.
Same error message about not finding a profile, even though I saw the migrated profile in place.

It sounds as though the transfer did not result in a valid profiles.ini file. Look for that file and edit it ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profiles.ini_file ) so that it will point to the proper location for the migrated profile.
