Re: unresponsive script problems
Hold down the shift key when you click on the Thunderbird shortcut to start in safe mode. That temporarily disables all add-ons. Then disable all of them, and one by one re-enable them/restart until you identify the culprit.
I suspect you really meant version 69.b3 , a beta build. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/ has no 69.30. Unless there is a critical bug fix that you need in 69.b3 I suggest you uninstall it and install 68.2 (the latest release build on thunderbird.net). You should be able to use it with the same profile.

Re: unresponsive script problems
hi Tanstaafl
my excuse is failing eyesight and poor memory
I have version 60.9.0 32 bit, and it says TB is up to date.
does that change anything?
also, I did not receive the email alert that you had posted a message. The box is checked to be notified.
thank you, all the best

Re: unresponsive script problems
I've occasionally had the same problem with the forum not notifying me. Hopefully that problem will go away if the forum software is updated. The current sysadmin doesn't have time to do that.
Version 60.9.0 should be fine. I suspect the problem is an add-on. Try what I suggested in the prior post.
