Message In Search But Not In Directory's File List

I can search for a listing of all files where a particular word appears in the body. The search returns a list of those, with most of them in the proper directory, but a couple elsewhere. I wanted to move the couple of oddly-placed ones, but even when it says it moved them, they do not appear in the list.

I tried to remove the global-messages-db.sqlite file and then start TB, but nothing changed.

Luckily I had the message opened in a tab, so I did not loose that one. I cannot seem to figure out where it is or how to move it.

Any ideas?

Maybe it's the terminology you are using but I'm a bit confused by your post. You say that you are searching for a list of files where a particular word appears. But, by default, Thunderbird stores all messages shown in a given folder as a single file on the hard drive, not in separate files. Are you performing that search from within Thunderbird or at the operating system level?
