Hi,
I use Mozilla Thunderbird version 68.7.0 as my mailclient.
As addressbook I use OpenLdap on a Rasberry Pi server.
In order to see address Photos from the Ldap server I installed an Add-on in Thunderbird: Awesome ldapinfoshow 1.2
But the Add-on is not longer compatibe with the latest version of Thunderbird (I think from Thunderbird version 63 on).
Apparently ther will be no updates of this Add-on ldapinfoshow in the near future.
My question is:
Does Mozilla itself has intentions of implementing this function?
Thanks for any answers.

I doubt it. LDAP support is a backwater just like newsgroups and S/MIME. The CardBook add-on displays photos in contacts properties. Perhaps you could interest that author in adding support for photos from other locations such as a LDAP server.
A long shot is that the redesigned address book (no idea when that will actually ship) would support it due to supporting multiple address book providers.
