Message filter is not working

Post by CSOCSO »

Hey, I want to setup a filter if the subject is containing my business name then it goes to a specific folder.
I went to tools>message filter>new>
apply filter > run manually, getting new mail before junk

match any of the following

subject > containg> (my business name)
body> contains (my business name)

Move message to > "business" folder on "my email address"

it is enabled and not working. What am I doing wrong?

Even when I select Run filter on ( select inbox on " my email" hit run nothing happens.

How is the account set up, as POP or IMAP?
In Thunderbird the menu path is Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top rig

Set up as IMAP. Just checked it on my home computer and realized it's actually working! It's all in the folder now.
Gotta check on my work computer tomorrow if it's working there too. One thing I realized that the thunderbird on the work computer might be older or something. Looks a little bit different. Menu is on the right under the 3 lines instead of the top left as a list next to each other.
