Hello all,
my setup:
Thunderbird 68.9.0 (64-bit)
Windows 10 Pro 1903 build 18362.476 64-bit
Account type: POP

I'm looking for a button / option / addon which stops retrieving e-mails from all accounts.
How can I do this?

Best regards
ACDC

You can just launch Thunderbird in off-line mode so it will not connect to the server(s). Use Windows Run command "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -p (Note that the -p goes outside the close quote.) That will load Thunderbird's profile manager which includes an option to launch the application in off-line mode.

If you never had a 32bit version installed that might be "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -p

Thank you Dan,
OK, but in offline mode Thunderbird does not send e-mails.
Is there a possibility to ad abButton for the feature: "File > Offline > Work offline" ?
Best regards

At the bottom left of the Thunderbird window there is an image of two monitors, one slightly off-set to each other. Click on that to change the on-line/off-line status.
