Can't check one of my Google emails

I've used this email for years on Thunderbird, over the last few days I keep getting the above err message. My other Google mail addresses are working fine.

Through the web browser, I can get into this email acct. Maybe Thunderbird has a glitch and not sending the pw?

Any ideas on how to fix this, it just started for no apparent reason.

That may be Google trying to force you to use their proprietary email authentication system. https://support.google.com/accounts/ans ... 0255?hl=en

I had much the same problem with one of my gmail accounts:- password and user name correct but could not download emails.

I ended up deleting the account in TB and set up the account again. Everything works perfectly again.
