Google Calendar

Post by dgo47 »

I have insatlled "Open Google Calendar" on my Thunderbird 68.12.1. The add-on states that it is cleared for Thuderbird 68. However, when I try to run it I get the message "The browser that you're using doesn't support JavaScript, or has JavaScript turned off.".

The app runs OK on my other computer which has Thunderbird 78 installed. What do I have to do to get my Thunderbird 68 to accept Javascipt?

Javascript is disabled by default for email accounts as a security measure. Its supposedly enabled by default for RSS/FEED accounts. I'm not sure what setting to change since javascript.enabled defaults to true in version 68.12.1 and 78.5.0 and you don't need to modify a javascript related setting to do a login to google to get a OAuth2 token.

Take a look at https://github.com/clarkbw/google-calendar-tab . The "developers comments" section on the add-ons web page claims that is a fork designed for version 60 and 68. I suggest you try that version.
