When I send a reply, the arrow does not show

I am running TB ver 78.14.0 and win 10pro

Lately I have noticed that when I reply to an email, the little purple arrow thingy in the Inbox next to the message I replied to does not show.

May I kindly ask how do I select the option so that it does show please?

With both version 60.9.1 and 78.14.0 it seems to be added as a prefix to the Subject, rather than using a dedicated column in the folder listing.

The information about whether a message (in the inbox folder) is replied to or forwarded is stored in the inbox.msf file. If you deleted that file rather than using the repair folder button in the folders properties Thunderbird would lose track of that information.

I suggest you send yourself a message from another account, reply to it, and see if you see the purple curved reply arrow.

We don't know why the notification feature works for some but not others.
