Change default browser. [Linux.]

Post by hstoellinger1 »

Hello,
I want to change the default browser in version 78.13.0 (64-Bit) of thunderbird (Linux). What's the procedure. I think the method described in various searches I did does not function in my version...
Thanks

You go to your default browser and make it the default browser in its settings, make Thunderbird the default email app in its settings, then you go to the operating system Default Applications setting and make the browser the default there, and Thunderbird the default email application.

I had to do that yesterday after Fedora updated 78.11.0 to 91.1.0. Seems the updates made Thunderbird my default browser in the OS settings.

Thanks!
Unfortunately your suggestion does not work in my case. I use Vivaldi (both stable and snapshot). However often I set it as default browser in its settings page -- next time I look, it still says "Vivaldi is NOT your default browser". So I suspect it is a problem with Vivaldi...
