After updating, Provider for Google calendar doesn't work

I just updated thunderbird to version 91.2.1 (32 bit) on both pc and laptop. Provider for google calendar no longer works on both devices, it asks for credentials and at the end it shows the message Error 403: rate_limit_exceeded. Any suggestion?

I answer to myself, because it can be useful to someone: I used the CalDav method and I solved the problem, definitively getting rid of Provider for Google Calendar extension, which had already caused me problems in the past.
