Easy Question (I hope)

Post by desdichato »

It has been many years since I last put additional folders into Firefox and had emails directed to go into them, Recently however I need to put in an new folder that will show up when I open Firefox and frankly at the moment I feel like this icon http://forums.mozillazine.org/posting.php?mode=post&f=7# and everything I have tried has failed so far.

Also I was wondering whether there is a way that I can move emails into a folder using a company name and NOT a person as I am getting emails from a number of people in the same organisation.
As an example
personname1@companyname 1
personname2@companyname 1
personname3@companyname 1
so I need basically everything after the @ symbol.http://forums.mozillazine.org/posting.php?mode=post&f=7#
Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

Surely you mean Thunderbird?

additional folders into Firefox
Aside from referring to Firefox when you apparently mean Thunderbird, are you actually looking to add one or more new email accounts to Thunderbird, or just add new folders to an existing account?
...I can move emails into a folder using a company name and NOT a person
You can use message filters ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Filters_%28Thunderbird%29 ) to automate the moving of messages to folder upon receipt. To select by the part of the email address after the @ symbol, just select "From"+"Contains"+"@companyname1".
