Moving Junk Mail to Junk Folder

I got Thunderbird to recognize junk mail.
How do I get Thunderbird to automatically move junk mail to the junk folder?

Check the checkbox by tools -> account settings -> account_name -> junk settings -> "move new junk messages to" . It should default to the junk folder, but there is an adjacent option to specify the destination.
