I have an old WinXP PC with Thunderbird 52. How can I enable OAuth2 for Gmail accounts?

Unfortunately, I don't see OAuth2 option in authentification methods list.

You need at least version 68.5 for OAuth2 support for Gmail POP accounts. Unfortunately Thunderbird doesn't support later than version 52 for XP SP2. If you have a Gmail POP account you will need to either replace it with a Gmail IMAP account (which version 52 supports) or use a different email provider.

Yes, all my Gmail accounts are POP accounts. Do I need to recreate them?tanstaafl wrote:If you have a Gmail POP account you will need to either replace it with a Gmail IMAP account

I suggest you move any downloaded mail into the folders in "Local Folders", delete the POP accounts and then add the corresponding IMAP accounts (use the same email addresses).
There is no support for converting a POP account to a IMAP account (or vice versa). It is possible if you understand how things are stored, however its riskier and more time consuming for most users.
