No Longer Able to Use GMail on Thunderbid? The Fix is Easy!

For those of you that are no longer able to use your GMail account on Thunderbird the fix is easy!

Go to your Thunderbird Account settings and click on your GMail email account and change your Password Authentication from 'Normal Password' to 'Oauth2' and exit. Making this change will automatically trigger a Google window to popup with your GMail email address already displayed and the Next button asking for your password. Enter your GMail password. Then, a four part security checklist will come up in the same Google popup window - just go through the four parts to review and make sure you are okay with your original settings. That's it! All done!

You'll automatically receive one or two emails sent to your GMail email address in Thunderbird letting you know that your GMail account had been accessed, and asking if that was done by you - and if so that you do not need to do anything...

Your GMail will now work perfectly with Thunderbird just like it used before it failed to work.
