Can I get notifications some other way?

Post by ep2012 »

Hi there,

So I moved & don't have access to my main PC. I'm using a terrible laptop & I can't keep TB open all the time due to low memory that can't handle it.

Is there some other way I can get email notifications & then I would open it?

I doubt it, but just wondering.

Thanks

What email provider? Are you asking for a browser addon as an alternative?

I use the following Chrome addon.

Notifier for Gmail

POP Peeper is an email notifier that runs in your Windows taskbar and alerts you when you have new email on any of your accounts. Its very small (5MB file), supports both POP and IMAP accounts, and can visually or audibly notify you of new mail. It supports normal passwords plus OAuth2 for Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook/Hotmail.

You can also use it to preview the messages (no effect on Thunderbird). POPTrayU is a similar utility.
