Thunderbird 1.20.2.2 ? Perhaps you meant version 102.2.2, the current production release.
If you are using 102.* you don't need to do anything. Mail.com's email was just saying they were going to drop support for obsolete version of TLS. Thunderbird supports what mail.com expects and will automatically negotiate with their mail server whether to use TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3.

Hi
Many thanks for your reply.
You also spotted my "deliberate " mistake, lol. Sorry.
You are right, of course, it is 102.2.2
Thanks for letting me know that Thunderbird is good to go.
I now need to check their app on my android phone
All the best

I received the same message from Mail.com re. the TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols. Does this mean I need to replace my 8.5 year old desktop or is there a way to upgrade the TLS? Rank amateur here so speak slowly

You don't have to do anything. They're warning you that they plan to drop support for two old versions of a protocol. You aren't using either obsolete version of that protocol. You're using the new version of the protocol, so you're unaffected.Mingo wrote:I received the same message from Mail.com re. the TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols.
