Did a search and could not find anything related.
I have several email accounts set up and only having a problem with Hotmail.
Whenever I send or reply to a message in the hot mail account, it will put Two (2) of the same thing I sent in the sent folder.
It does not do it with any of the others I have which are from my own domains.
Any ideas why?

Re: Double Mails in Sent mail box
Moving to Thunderbird Support as no bug has yet been identified here.
How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.

Re: Double Mails in Sent mail box
Then it is likely that Hotmail is putting a copy of sent messages into the Sent folder and that Thunderbird may be set to do the same, thus duplicating copies. In TB, look at the settings under Tools->Account Settings->select that Hotmail account-->Copies & Folder and, if there is a check in the box next to "Place a copy in", remove that check mark.

My experience is that the Outlook smtp server automatically saves a copy (and you can't disable that) so you need to be careful not to have Thunderbird be configured to also save a copy. That is just like Gmail.
