Thunderbird .03 will not send or receive from my cable co. they say everthing is Ok it must be mozilla fault.
Has anybody ever had this problem
MS Outlook did the same thing

If the other email programs are giving you the same problem, it's very likely that something in your setup is incorrect.
Ask your cable company for your login ID, your password, the name of the POP server (for receiving mail), and the name of the SMTP server (for sending mail).
Different internet service providers require different formats for filling these fields. For example, some require your login name with no extension (johndoe) while others require the complete email address (johndoe@mailserver.xyz).
Similarly some require a login and password for sending mail while others will fail if you try to put one in.

0.3 thunderbird wont work
I have called my Cable provider 10 x and they say everything is OK on there end and all my settings are OK But none of the email programs will work Thunderbird was downloaded to see if it would work instead of Outlook.
