ACK! Unending chain of Thunderbird quota alert message boxes

Post by cal_bear »

Help!
I need to disable the quota notification message boxes! They are killing me!

Whenever I go over 80% full on my inbox at UC Berkeley, I get a message box that pops up saying "Inbox XX% of Quota" (or something like that). There is just one option to click "OK"

THE BAD PART:
I get a message box for every single folder in my IMAP directory! That is a string of 30-40 message boxes popping up one after another every time thunderbird checks my mail!

My inbox isn't full (its at 81% of quota or 86% or 93% or whatever). You HAVE to keep clicking ok. There seems to be no way to ignore the message boxes. Clicking through them take several minutes...and then they just pop up again the next time thunderbird polls the server.

How can I disable this notification? I am in agony here. Help!

this "feature" is still present at the current time. it really is annoying. it basically cripples searches accross multiple folders because to allow the search to proceed you MUST keep clicking the damn dialogs away
