Same SMTP works on another computer with W98/Zonealarm
& Thunderbird, and also works using POP3 thru Yahoo.
thunderbird 0.4, WXP Pro, Norton AV & Firewall, smtp
port 25 I get error:
sending of message failed
the message could not be sent because connecting to smtp server mail-hub.optonline.net failed. The server may be unavailable....
I have tried all weekend and it has not worked once. I
have the XP built-in Firewall disabled. Temporarily
disabling the Norton Firewall did not help.
I have also tried alternative SMTPs and toggling the login/password setting in the SMTP mail options in Tbird.
