download statusbar - dead?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031206 Firebird/0.7+ (aebrahim)

I have been using the download statusbar for a couple of months now, but I recently installed a newer build. I cannot get the statubar to work - conflict with the DL manager, correct? Even disabling the manager doesnt work - perhaps the statusbar is not updated?

Not dead, more like down for the count.

Yes, it was broken by the new download manager.
Yes, it needs to be and will be updated. (I use is afterall)

I cannot promise a quick fix though, because
a) I'm extremely busy.
b) From what I can tell it is really really broken.
